Stoic Widgets is part of a family of related apps operated by WIDGET WORKS LLP, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, including Stoic Widgets, Dharma Widgets, and Buddhist Widgets. This policy explains what information the app handles, how that information is used, and what choices you have.
Stoic Widgets is designed to work offline first. Most app data is stored locally on your device unless you choose to sign in and use optional sync features.
Depending on how you use the app, it may handle the following information:
You can use the app without creating an account.
If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide your name and email address as part of that sign-in flow. The app uses Firebase Authentication to create or sign in to your account.
If you sign in, eligible app data may be stored in Firebase Firestore so you can restore it on another device.
App Store subscriptions, free trials, renewals, cancellations, and purchase restoration are handled through Apple and RevenueCat.
If you purchase annual or lifetime app access on the web, the payment provider or merchant of record identified at checkout handles payment authorization and payment-method information, and recurring charges for annual plans. This may be Paddle or Dodo Payments where offered; Razorpay handles existing Razorpay purchases. RevenueCat receives the purchase status and entitlement duration needed to make Stoic Widgets Pro available inside the app.
We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We store the purchase email, plan, payment and subscription identifiers, billing status, paid-through date, and account link needed to operate and support the subscription.
The web onboarding funnel stores your selected answers, an anonymous funnel session identifier, referral parameters, and the email address you provide. These details are used to build your result, complete checkout, send activation and management links, and understand where the funnel needs improvement.
Transactional emails include receipts, activation links, payment-status notices, recovery links, and cancellation confirmations. Product notes are sent only when you separately select the optional marketing consent control.
We use PostHog and Vercel Analytics to understand funnel screen views, selected actions, checkout outcomes, and technical performance. Funnel analytics use an anonymous session identifier and do not include your email address.
The app may request access to certain device features only when needed for the feature you choose to use.
The app stores data locally on your device first. If you sign in, some app data may also sync to Firebase Firestore, including items such as your display name, liked quotes, collections, followed topics, theme selections, streak data, and reminder preferences.
Some data remains device-local and is not synced to Firestore.
We do not sell your personal data.
Information is shared only as needed with service providers that support the features you choose to use.
Locally stored app data remains on your device until you remove it, delete the app, or use the app's delete-data controls.
If you are signed in, synced account data may remain in Firebase until you delete your account through the app's account deletion flow, subject to platform reauthentication requirements.
Subscription and billing records may be maintained by Apple, the applicable web payment provider, RevenueCat, and us for the period needed to provide access, meet accounting or legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the effective date above will be updated. Your continued use of the app after an updated policy becomes effective means the updated policy will apply going forward.
